A sorority is an organized society of women associated together in an environment of companionship and sisterhood; dedicated to the intellectual, and social development of its members. There are 3 sororities at the University of Waterloo. Take a look at what each one has to offer!
Since 1897, over 152,000 women have found a home in the international sisterhood of Alpha Omicron Pi. AOII is organised around the principle that “L.E.S.S. is more” by focusing on Leadership, Education, Service and Sisterhood. The Lambda Epsilon Chapter at the University of Waterloo was established in 2008, and is the 184th chartered chapter of the Fraternity. Lambda Epsilon and AOII as a whole are dedicated to philanthropic efforts for the Arthritis Society, and participating in initiatives in the campus and local communities, such as Amanda’s Cruise for Juvenile Arthritis and the Feds Food Bank’s ‘Trick or Eat’ food drive. The Chapter’s sub-motto is “Live elegantly, laugh easily, love eternally” and AOII is committed to inspiring and supporting women in becoming the best versions of themselves while enriching their experiences through lifelong friendship. see more

Each of our members embrace these qualities in their own way, and find support within the sisterhood to achieve and surpass their goals. The Zeta Omega chapter was installed at the University of Waterloo in 1994, and continues to flourish today. The women of Zeta Omega chapter and Kappa Kappa Gamma look to empower each other and support one another to become the best future leaders that we can be, through school, work, and life. see more
